My approach to photographing weddings hasn’t changed much over the years. The process starts well before I ever pick up a camera to create images. Listening to my clients wants and needs is without a doubt the most important factor that comes into play when creating images of their wedding day. I take the time to genuinely get to know them as people. It is important for me to know them as individuals and as a couple. The key to amazing images is being comfortable and confident with the person taking your photos.
“When people talk, listen completely. Most people never listen.” ~ Ernest Hemingway
I shoot a limited number of weddings each year for a variable of reasons. The number one reason I only shoot between 12 to 15 weddings a year is customer service. I provide a level of customer service that limits my time. I’m a firm believer in quality over quantity. I like being able to provide a high level of service to each of my clients without feeling like I’m spread too then. Shooting weddings is demanding and requires that I’m able to focus with as little stress as possible so that in the end I provide my clients with a product and level of service that is tailored exactly for them.
